Madrasahs, along with maktabs (or kuttab), trace their traditions back through nearly a thousand years of Islamic learning. Till today, they remain the single most vital tool for preserving Prophetic knowledge and cultivating it amongst the masses of the Jamia Islamia Riyazul Uloom Anwa. Jamia Islamia Riyazul Uloom Anwa Welfare Trust continues to support and strengthen these indispensable institutions. Through subsidies, renovations and sponsorship programmes, the charity has helped establish hundreds of madrassahs and maktabs in recent years, alhamdulillah.
